Firefighter - more then just a Hobby
Here we go again in 2015...

Those who have visited us last year already know us, but here are some facts about us for the newcomers.
We proudly present the Second Bavarian Firefighter Combat Challenge from the 14th until the 16th of August in 2015. In the course of the event we managed to get exhibitors for all kinds of things firefighters need. The exhibition will be accompanied by different shows and presentations by the exhibitors. The icing on the cake will be our Fire-service Oldtimershow on Sunday.
First of all I want to take the opportunity to present our undertaking and the Freiwillige Feuerwehr Geiselwind (Volunteer fire department of Geiselwind). Geiselwind is located in the north of Bavaria near the Dreifrankeneck where Unter-,Ober,- and Mittelfranken (three regions in Bavaria) come together. Geiselwind is directly located at the Autobahn A3 between Würzburg and Nürenberg.
The volunteer fire department of Geiselwind was founded in 1873.Since then many changes have happened. After connecting Geiselwind to the Autobahn in the year 1980 the main business was technical support and fire operation due to high traffic volume. Nevertheless there are lots of operations to do in the 18 parts of our township Geiselwind. Because of the many operations especially those on the Autobahn our fire department has to be up to date in terms of training and instruction and furthermore we have to provide appropriate equipment.
The trade show is perfect for every firefighter who wants to inform himself/herself about the latest innovations. On this weekend you can discuss and exchange with comrades. Unfortunately the decision makers do rarely appear at the trade show but you can inform yourself and present fitting innovations for your fire department to your mayor or whoever has the final say.
Of course the journey here may be long but you won`t be disappointed. Some of the best firms with high reputation will be there, such as Lukas, Magirus, AWG, MSA, PAX and many more.
